Michael is totally addicted to his own fruit smoothies. He’s a swimmer and averages 4000-5000 meters of swimming each practice. For some perspective on that, 5000 meters is a 5K and 3.1 miles. This burns a LOT of calories. Most mornings, Michael makes himself a fruit smoothie. Sometimes this is breakfast and sometimes, this is just a prelude to breakfast!
Michael’s Fruit Smoothies
Place in the blender:
- 1 3/4 c. plain yogurt
- 3 handfuls of frozen blueberries (if needed, put more. Other frozen fruit works also)
- 1 banana
- 1 T. sugar
- 1/4 c. milk
Blend thoroughly and guzzle. Share with your brothers if you must. Always share a little glass with your mom.
Mom’s note: I’ve been hearing about the great value of flax seed and plan to encourage Michael to incorporate a bit of that in each smoothie.
