Festive Cheese Ball

This comes from the grandmother of my friend Jeri, and appears in their family cookbook. It’s a basic cheese-ball, good for party hors-d’oevres, football nights, and Christmas brunch:

  • 6 oz. bleu cheese
  • 2 (5 oz.) jars Cheddar cheese spread (Old English or Smokey)
  • 4 (3 oz.) package cream cheese
  • 1 TBSP grated onion
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 c. ground pecans
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped parsley

Have cheeses at room temperature. Mix cheeses, onion and sauce. Then form in a large ball or 2 smaller ones, and roll in pecans and parsley. Keeps well in refrigerator. Serve with crackers and/or veggies.
