New Years Eve Party Food

Oh shoot, really? It’s New Year’s Eve already? I know that New Year’s Eve is always, always, always exactly a week after Christmas Eve but somehow, I’m always caught by surprise by it! Fortunately, this year will be a quiet evening for us so my planning neglect isn’t going to get me into too much trouble.

Our New Year’s Eve menu this year:

French Onion Soup with Homemade Croutons and melted Parmesan cheese

Bacon-wrapped Water Chestnuts

Dreamsicle Fudge

Pumpkin Bread

Crostini and hummus

If you’re heading to a party and need something a little more involved, check out some of our Appetizers.

Are you planning to make some traditional New Year’s DAY foods tomorrow? Today is the day to shop for whatever you need to make those things. Check out our New Year’s Holiday section here.

I’m eyeing the recipes for olie koeken and Hoppin’ John (Black-eyed peas) and Collard Greens for tomorrow….it’ll be a good day for creating good smells and delicious food in the kitchen!

Oh, I almost forgot the one item that makes any evening a party in MY book: chocolate!

Holiday chocolates

Wishing all of you a safe, fun New Year’s Eve celebration with people you love!
